General:
This position supports client in providing architecture and systems engineering support to mitigate cyber intrusions onto client network in support of Nuclear Utility customers. The position will involve architecting and engineering ISP based intrusion detection / intrusion prevention technologies. Position may require a role in briefing Government seniors on the status of  ISP and CyberSecurity capabilities.

Job Description:
The Cyber Security Engineer will work in a challenging, hands-on environment supporting the Department of Energy (DoE) and the Nuclear Reglatory Commission (NRC) and other specialized customers in support of the National Cyber Protection System (NCPS) initiatives. Successful candidates will assist in the research, development, evaluation, and validation of Security solutions using carrier network facilities to support tactical solutions; to include bandwidth challenged, mobile ad hoc networks.
Duties include:
  • Identify new network security technologies
  • Develop and support security Research and Development concepts
  • Assist in the formulation of new programs
  • Assess proposed solutions in a system of systems environment to include impact on network and application layer efficiencies
  • Construct measurable milestones and cyber security technology roadmaps
  • Assist in laboratory demonstrations and evaluations
  • Evaluate emerging security products and implementations developed by outside vendors
