General:
Require
Modification experience, especially functioning as the Responsible
Engineer (RE) for preparing and issuing Modification Packages. Needs to
be experienced in all aspects including Package Preparation,
identifying Design Inputs, Design Checklist, Master Equipment Database
and Master Parts List Database, Critical Parameters, Pre-Installation
and Post Installation Testing, Installation Instructions, writing
Technical Justifications, Affected Documents, Affected Databases,
identifying Special/Interdisciplinary/Plant Impact Reviews, preparing
10CFR50.59 Screens, Design Verification, preparing Requisitions and
Purchase Orders, preparing License Document Changes, reviewing and
applying Operating Experience, performing Project Kick-Off Meetings,
performing Design Review Meetings, scheduling, supporting Field
Engineering and Work Planning, and working with a Condition Reporting
system. Must be computer (PC) literate and capable of using basic
software such as Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Must be capable of
performing with little oversight.
Requires functional knowledge of
Cable routing, sizing and application, raceway installation and
specification, separation requirements, sizing and application of
breakers, fuses, and other basic electrical components and systems,
lighting, distribution panels, UPSs, Inverters/Battery Chargers,
transformers, MCCs, Switchgear, etc. Preferable to have knowledge of
ETAP or other Electrical System Analysis type software. Knowledge of
typical UFSAR Electrical section information and how to research and use
the information. Understanding of system requirements including LOOP
and Station Blackout and the impacts/requirements of the Electrical
System. Understanding of all Electrical Calculations typically required
at Nuclear Stations (Combustible Loading, Appendix R, Heat Loading,
Ampacity, Protection Sizing, Equipment Qualification, Raceway Sizing,
UPS sizing, Battery Sizing, Setpoint calculations, Uncertainties,
Databases such as Setpoints, Fuses and Relays, etc.)
